A double-header that has both Germany's men and women in action on August 20 will be staged in Halle.

Dirk Bauermann's men's side will take on Puerto Rico as part of their preparations for the 2010 FIBA World Championship in Turkey.

Both sides, in fact, will be at the 24-team tournament in Turkey, which tips off on August 28.

The Germany women will play in the first game in Halle against Slovakia  - a side that competed at last year's EuroBasket Women in Latvia and suffered a narrow defeat to Belarus in the Quarter-Finals.

"If we are complete and have a good day, we can beat the Slovak Republic," Germany coach Imre Szittya said.

"Much will depend on how much we disrupt (Zuzana) Zirkova, who is hard to shut down completely."

Slovakia and Germany will compete in EuroBasket Women Division A, Group D later this summer, along with Great Britain and Ukraine.
